The importance of Nigerian economist can not be seen and traced to date, The present predicament of Nigerian economy is so worrisome. Recession was anticipated by the federal government and his economy teams but they fail to proffer solution, Do we say they are not competent enough or not capable of reviving the country from it economic panic.

The Neoclassical economist has shown us the way out, good example was the great Maynard Keynes with his invisible hand which he use to revive German economist in second world war. The modern economist most especially from Nigerian they still living with dead ideas, they never propound a new theory that can see the country through the recession.

The federal government made a promise of seeing the country out the present economic downturn, yet we haven't seen anything yet instead the economy is just deteriorating, even worst than what it use to be.
we need an economist to run the affairs of our central bank, the former CBN governor soludo was an econometrician that's why he able to run the apex bank efficiently.

Every year we had over ten thousand economics graduands across Nigeria universities still we have nothing to show off, all these graduands where not fixed into the appropriate position for them to exhibit their discipline.
