THE GOSPEL TRUTH BEHIND ASUU STRIKE

The truth behind the ongoing strike of association of universities union(ASUU) was all about earned allowance, the union reached an agreement with the federal government since 2009, The federal government promised to make provision for 60 percent, only 40 percent of the agreement was fulfilled by the fed. The federal government instruct the universities to generate income internally to offset the remaining payment only few universities comply some remain adamant. since 2009 the federal government keep dulging away from their responsibility, always saying there is no fund for the payment of earned allowance even when the nation economy was at it peak and seriously booming, only the ex-president goodluck jonathan was able to pay a huge amount as per payment. In recent time Nigerian government don't always release money to it civil servants they found it difficult to do so, that's why the Nigerian civil servant lives hand to mouth and always in dire need. The current federal government set aside 500 billion naira for palliative measure after increasing oil pump price, up still today we can hear anything about that money, and he was not used for what he meant for.They always take us for granted, they don't even recognised us as part of government arms. The money was in billions, the amount they are offering the unions is millions the mathematical jargons they are given out was not accordance with what union are demanding for.the strike will continue untill they meet our righteous demand.
