THE END OF RELIGIOUS TOLERANCE IN CONTEMPRARY NIGERIA

THE END OF RELIGIOUS TOLERANCE IN CONTEMPORARY NIGERIA

In a contemporary Nigeria comprises of many religion, but only two was officially recognized by Nigerians and Nigerian government which is Christianity and Islamic. These two faiths have strive and stride over a long period even before our grandparents  were given birth to; many Nigerians falls into different categories of religions ranging from Christianity, Islamic, paganism and idol worshipers.

In recent time there was nothing like religious fight in Nigeria only what we witness is tribal fight and he doesn't last for months except only Biafra war that lasted for three good years and it a civil war. As time goes by Christians and Muslims share equal right and domicile in the same habitable environments.

During my youthful age most of my friends were Muslims brothers, I was born and brought up in Kano state among the stunt Hausa Muslims , no religion discrepancy, discrimination and hatred for twenty seven(27) i spent in Kano state. I was never being rejected by my Muslims brothers rather they protect me from any external aggression.

Today and current Nigeria, i don't know what ensued or come over my fellow Christians and Muslims to the extent that a christian don't want to listen to a Muslim, likewise a Muslim don't to listen to a christian in a contemporary Nigeria that belongs to both faiths ces't la vie (such is life).

The most intrigue and painful aspect of it is that a highly and god ordained pastor of redeemed church (pastor Adeboye) decide to pay a primordial attachment visitation to the emir and the governor of Bauchi state, his visitation was rejected with boldness, so what are the servant of Allah teaches their pupils about tolerance of opposition. The gesture is a signal of bad omen to humanity and mankind.
