I DISAGREED WITH PROF. ANGO ABDULLAHI SLAMMING THE EMIR OF KANO (SANUSI LAMIDO) OVER POOR NORTH

I agree with the emir of Kano (sanusi lamido) over his comment that the north is poorer than the other regions in Nigeria, yes absolutely it is true. I was born and brought in Northern part of Nigeria (Kano state) in 1976, now am 41years old i had a full knowledge of the north and also had a northern educational background which is weaker to compare to it counterparts.

I don't know what is giving prof. ango abdullahi the impetus that the northern part of Nigerian will survive disintegration, yes to an extent,The emir of Kano must have seen the lapses and loophole in the country politics before saying that the north will remain poor if disintegration ensued.

The Northern leaders underdeveloped the North, they had been in power for over three decades still they can't pin point their achievement, but the most painful aspect of it is that their political animal (followers) are still crazy about their candidates even without benefiting from dividend of democracy.

In terms of resources endowment the Northerners are hundred percent backward, if they depends on agriculture, they are not the custodian of farming. Other regions too can plant and harvest on their if they have the necessary plantation and fertilizer.

Come to educational background, they are the zero income. when i was young i attend my primary and secondary school education in Kano state, I learnt nothing not until i travelled down to west before i re-enrolled back to secondary school to have western education.

Prof. Ango Abdullahi should respect the emir of Kano and search for something else to say, he alone can't revamp the north, and if he thinks the North can stand alone so be it. but he should put the almajiri's into consideration on their survival before the North survive the disintegration.
