LEAVE OF ABSENCE IN THE UNIVERSITY

The phrase leave of absence was designed by the university business committee of senate (bcos) to enable students with financial constraint, medical issue, unregistered courses and probation issues to go for at least four semester (two session) with the approval from dean of faculty and Hod of department.

The student most have paid his tuition fees before he can write for leave of absence, failure to do the needful, your leave of absence will not be valid and you will find it difficult when you are to resume your studies. The faculty board of studies as the power to approve only two semester,

But from two semester above you need to write Academic affairs unit for necessary action, if you absent yourself from the university voluntarily without notify the authority, acting on your own discretion you will be penalized for those semester that you are not around. if you end up not been around fro three consecutive semesters you be placed on withdrawal, but you can write a special appeal letter for the withdrawal and get considered my the senate committee.
