POWER IS PRECARIOUS

Since power is not evenly distributed,so why some leaders vested with power hold on to it. power is precarious and unsafe, The Gambian president (JAMMEH), who was defeated in the last election held in Gambia fails to handover to opposition party. He has been the president of Gambia for some decades, he have tested the post and felt it as a family fairs.

This is not the first African leader or president that refuse live office after being defeated by any opposition party or to his succesor, Libya was a good example, when muhammed Gadaffi vows not to handover to the incoming presidential candidate and felt nobody can unsit him even with intervention of countries of united nations. Later, he was forcefully ousted which led to his death.

Mostly, The African leaders arrogates more power to themselves, without them being checked by council. during the ex-president obasanjo regime, he wanted to stay in office above the stipulated time, that is why he brought the idea of third term and even bribing the Nigerian lawmakers to make a new law and repeal the 1999 constitution.

Jammeh (The Gambia president) could have learned from other African leaders who fails to handover power when due and the wrath they face by law or coercion. He should have this in mind that everybody business is no man business.
