THE TRUISM BEHIND 500 BILLION NAIRA PALLETIVE FIVE

Aftermath of increase in the price of petrol (pms), the federal government through is minister of information lai mohammed announced that the sum of five hundred billion naira was set aside for palliative measure to douse the masses phobia for the  increase in the petroleum pump price. having waited for a year and half, nothing is happening and the huge amount is stash somewhere in the government vault. Many Nigerians are not talking about this mouthwatering amount,we easily forget federal government vow in a tinkle of an eye.


The said amount was not transparent or reflected in the government expenditure for year 2016, could this be in treasury single account (TSA) only the finance minister and the governor of central bank of Nigeria (C.B.N) can tell us the whereabout of the fund ( 500 billion Naira). I believe the disbursing of this fund should be transparent to the masses since the money was generated through tax collection, and taxpayer has the total right to demand how there money is expended on capital project. 



The sum of 6 trillion Naira was approved for 2016 budget a overwhelming amount of money, but the way this huge amount was expended nobody could explain may be the money has been released in trenches to the appropriate ministries and agencies.but i doff my hat for the president for paying salaries of some federal government promptly though he hasn't pay december salary even when chrismas is next tommorow. he should please and remember us for good so that we should have fun-filled chrismas and happy new year in advance.
